1 Gallon of Proceed Rough Glass Bead Texture ($75)

A clear acrylic medium containing glass beads that is used to create accents of jewel-like reflected light Proceed® Rough Glass Bead Texture is supplied in a trowelable consistency, but may be thinned with water if desired. Apply directly over base painted substrates or over Proceed Textures in a single coat. For best results, spread and ‘‘float’’ the beads with a flat trowel to achieve a single layer of beads on the surface. Applying with the edge of the trowel can result in a ‘‘scratched’’ look. The freshly applied film will appear to be cloudy, but clears upon drying. When applied as a single layer of beads, the resulting film will have the maximum clarity and the reflective effects of the beads will be strongest. Thicker films provide a different look and will take on a more ‘‘frost-like’’ appearance. Full cure and water resistance is developed in 2 - 4 weeks. It may be tinted with Proceed Dispersions (transparent pigments are recommended), or Proceed Slow Drying Acrylics and Proceed Metallic Mediums. Download an application PDF.
